Hi all, I haven´t posted for some time because I was getting grumpy and beginning to sound like a sad old git. The cold winter was really getting me down. All of a sudden we have two days in the high twenties and everything changes! Had a lovely bike ride through the back lanes of the local villages this afternoon. A zephyr of breeze, warm sunshine, the almond blossom out in all its glory, and a cold beer to look forward to afterwards. What more could a man ask? Actually, come to think of it an instant weight loss of around three stone and a left leg that worked properly would be close to the top of the list, along with an England cricket team that weren´t getting constantly humiliated, but I guess that would be asking too much, particularly the last of these. Work is going well, and I have picked up three gigs for Dolce Divas in the past few days, as well as spoken to several other musicians who are interested in me representing them. My brain is also beginning to function in a work related way again, which is a relief as there have been moments when I thought acute brain fade had set in. I´m currently working with an outstanding blues fusión guitarist called Markus Koehurst who is a really interesting carácter and is all over you tube if you like listening to good music.
Ann has produced a lovely painting of Malala, the girl who was shot for being an education activist, and we are both still enthused with our painting. I am doing a mixed media course on Wednesday, so i have been digging out old tins of spray paint and filling bottles with different coloured sands! Choir is in really good voice and we are recording a proper CD in a studio on 25th April, so for those of you who got a copy of my book for Christmas last year you know what is coming this time!
We are both planning to start swimming tomorrow as we expect the wáter temperature to be a balmy 15C. I shall probably feel like a Greek Bank afterwards (assets permanently frozen.) All the best, Andy
